Land Justice Community School

Land Justice Community School (LJCS) is a collective of organizers, artists, educators, and youth working toward self-determination, Indigenous land sovereignty, environmental justice, community healing, political education, and frontline youth leadership development.

Land-based relationships
are the basis of life.

From our local food systems, to housing, to land back, land justice calls for a return to relationships rooted in reciprocity rather than extraction.

We are of the land, plants, and water, and we do this work in honor of Mother Earth, our communities, and generations past, present, and future. We are working toward justice in a world that sees the Earth and her resources as commodities to be exploited, profited from, and forgotten about.

We honor the natural world as an extension of ourselves—creating systems of love, stewardship, reparations, and community-led systems.

What We Do

Frontline communities are fighting for their lives in the era of climate survival. We believe they should shape the systems, stories, and solutions that carry us forward.

We're a collective of organizers, artists, educators, and youth working toward self-determination, Indigenous land sovereignty, environmental justice, community healing, political education, and frontline youth leadership development in Texas and beyond.
