Environmental Justice 101: Capitalism

In this lesson, students will learn about capitalism, including its history, the inequalities it is built upon and has exacerbated, how it affects the food system and environment, and competing economic and social systems. Students will play a short round of Monopoly to illustrate how greed over property ownership leads to inequality and then learn about the anti-capitalist foundation of the game.
