Environmental Justice 101: Compost & Activism

In this lesson, students will learn about compost activism in NYC by engaging with the current compost system and the flaws and inequities present. They will be oriented towards critical thinking of the issue, including what community activists are currently advocating for and how they are taking action. Students will then take action themselves by writing letters to their council members.
