Environmental Justice 101: Sorting 101 New York City's Waste

In this lesson, students will do a deep dive into New York City's waste system, which is one of the largest in the world. Students will learn what happens to waste when it is thrown in the trash bin, and will learn to evaluate the issues with the current waste system. Students will then practice their waste sorting knowledge through an interactive.
