History of Redlining and Environmental Racism

In this lesson, we examine environmental justice components of redlining and its historical and contemporary public health impacts in urban communities. Students will learn about environmental racism, and apply it to a mapping activity that follows the case study city from historical redlining maps to present day racial and environmental justice data.
