Module 5 - Cultural Power & Revolution: Propaganda, Censorship, and the Ideas that Liberate Us

In this lesson, students will learn how propoganda & censorship attempt to control cultural power & revolution. Students will learn how culture moves people and is fundamental for liberation. Change must occur in people’s attitudes and behaviors just as much as it must happen systemically. Culture, art, and media are hotbeds for propaganda from the left and the right. To imagine a future beyond capitalism, we have to build a revolutionary working-class culture, reconnect to traditional cultures from across the world, and demystify alternative systems – such as scientific socialism.
