White Supremacy
In this lesson, students will be learning about White Supremacy as an organized system of oppression by looking at different activities and resources such as videos and articles. First, students do an ice breaker exercise whose main purpose is to show students firsthand what white supremacy looks like. After that students watch a video illustrating examples of White Supremacy in everyday life situations. This lesson’s main target is for students to understand the origins of this system and the long-term consequences that it brings with it. This lesson also targets the origins of the words “White supremacy” and explores past historical and current events that are still present in our contemporary society.
